Branding
Once an order is placed, we provide you with artwork on positioning of your logo on the actual
product. This is then signed off before we go ahead with the actual branding. We will also
advise you on the best branding solution for the particular product and logo.
Definitions of various branding options
Embroidery:
This is the art of decorating fabric or other materials with designs stitched in
Strands of thread.
Laser Engraving:
A logo is burned into the product with a laser, replicating the logo
with precise accuracy. An image is marked into the surface of either metal (by YAG laser) or
organic items (by CO2 laser) by removing approx. 0.8 microns off the surface of the product.
A computer system is used to drive the movements of the laser head whereby very precise and
clean engravings are achieved at a high rate. Products suitable for laser engraving are metal pens,
metal plates, metal clocks, aluminum and stainless steel water bottles, leather folders, wooden
boards, wooden pens etc.
Screen Printing:
A screen is made up of a metal frame with a fine gauze tightly stretched over it.
The gauze is covered with a light-sensitive coating, into which the logo is burned. Ink is pushed
through the screen by a squeegee and only transfers where the logo was burned. Products
suitable for Screen printing include T-Shirts, caps, shopping bags, sports bags, conference bags,
picnic bags, drawstring bags, bandannas, etc.
Pad Printing:
A logo is applied to a plate which is then covered in ink. A silicon cushion is
pressed onto the plate and the cushion is then used to transfer the logo onto the product.
One colour is done at a time, but registration between colours is so accurate it allows up to
four-colour process printing, depending on the size of the print area. Products suitable for
pad printing includes plastic pens, rulers, plastic coasters, plastic clocks, keyrings, etc.
Dome Stickers:
Stickers are digitally printed in full-colour and then automatically cut to any of the following
Shapes: square, rectangle, triangle, circle or oval. They are coated with polyurethane to give a three-
dimensional appearance. Domed stickers can be applied to smooth and rigid surfaces or heat pressed onto
fabrics.
Vinyl Stickers:
Stickers are digitally printed in full-colour and then automatically cut to any of the following
shapes: square, rectangle, triangle, circle and oval.
